Bangalore: A recent survey suggests that app users are more skeptical today about downloading certain apps which collect too much personal information or pose a security threat. In many cases they have decided to uninstall Apps as well. An interesting infographic on InfographicList provides a few interesting details regarding mobile security.  The likelihood of a user clicking on an unsafe link increases by 30% when the device used is mobile. Another point to be noted is that besides the predictable attacks which may be launched by downloading unfamiliar apps, upgrades or downloading different versions could infect the phones. For a generation that is increasingly dependent on mobility and using smart phones on a massive scale, this is an important warning.  This ought to be a major cause of concern for developers too who are growing in number by the day as security should be a concern on every platform and who should ensure proper testing before launch.
