Mobile App Developer the "Best Computer Jobs for the Future"

Bangalore: ITCareerFinder.com, a leading online community for career-minded IT professionals, launched its inaugural guide to the “Best Computer Jobs for the Future.” The publication ranks the top ten IT career paths from 2013 to 2020, including deep dive job profiles and key growth factors for each position.

The popular IT startup forecasted this decade’s best computer jobs using a four-point weighted analysis of employment growth projections from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics’ Occupational Outlook Handbook 2012 – 2013 Edition, dynamic salary figures from Indeed.com, supply vs. demand on major IT job boards, and career advancement potential extrapolated from technology hiring trends and interviews with IT subject matter experts and technology executives.

Mobile application developers easily took the 1st spot. Contributing factors included the proliferation of smart phones and tablets, skyrocketing demand for new and innovative apps, an average salary of $95,000, industry leading 32% ten-year growth (or 292,000 new jobs through 2020) and the disproportionate ratio of qualified programmers to available mobile development jobs. Database administrators and software engineers rounded out the top three computer jobs respectively.
