Bangalore: Kony Solutions, the leading mobile and multi-channel application platform provider announced its support for the Apple iOS 6 operating system and iPhone 5, as well as support for Apple’s Pass Kit APIs and Passbook features. Passbook is the new location-aware ticketing and coupon application in iOS 6.

“Our customers include some of the world’s largest enterprises and we help them deliver billions of user sessions each year.  As a result, it is critical for us to ensure their mobile applications continue to work flawlessly on any device, running any operating system. With the KonyOne Platform, enterprises can immediately take advantage of all the new features and functionality within iOS 6, deliver a high-quality experience to their mobile users, and avoid the headaches of having to hand-code their mobile apps to adjust for each new OS,” said Sri Ramanathan, Kony’s CTO.

Apps built on the KonyOne Platform will immediately support the new native functionality of iOS 6 such as Apple Maps, and will continue supporting all the functionality of Siri.  Kony is also offering support for the Pass Kit APIs and allow developers’ full access to Passbook features directly from within its platform.

The KonyOne Platform leverages Kony's proven technology for designing, developing, deploying and managing mobile applications that run on more than 10,000 mobile devices and seven operating systems (iOS, Android, BlackBerry, Windows Phone, webOS, Symbian and J2ME). In addition, Kony future-proofs mobile investments by offering a Service Level Agreement (SLA) to support new versions of an existing platform SDK within 30 days of release, and an SLA of 90 days for new devices and operating systems. Further, Kony’s platform is backward compatible, ensuring that all applications are fully functional and take advantage of new OS features, regardless of whether customers upgrade their devices.
