If you are trained well in software development, then you can be a good app developer. If you have the ability to think differently and have the capacity to build small applications quickly, no doubt this app developing profession can be a good platform for you to be a superstar developer. In India, the scope for app developers is increasing immensely day by day. The best example for this is, when Ra.One, the game launched on Nokia Store, enthusiastic gamers across the country, lapped it up with over 2.5 million downloads. Accordingly, Vodafone India’s Beta app store which was launched in December 2011 has crosses two million downloads by now, reports Abhishek Law on The Hindu, BusinessLine.

Penetration of smartphones and feature rich handsets has tempted the mobile apps developers to develop an application for every occasion. According to the market sources, it has indicated a steady growth in downloads across different platforms like Android [Google]. iOS [Apple], Nokia Store and BlackBerry App World are now starting to bring money to the app developers.
The transition from a mobile operator conquered ecosystem to handset makers’ platforms has guaranteed that the apps developers are getting an equal share of the income. When you compare to just the 30 percent income the app developers were getting earlier, they are getting 70 percent of the income at present which is much better than earlier.

Vishal Godal, CEO of UTV Indiagames, who is the makers of popular games like Ra.One and IPL, said that, earlier the app developers were at the mercy of the mobile operators, but now the time has changed as the mobile app developers have their own distribution channels through handset-makers. Adding he also said that, a wider mileage for an app has become much easier at present.
Vaideeswaram Sethuraman, Divum Corporate Service, which is one of the developers on Nokia Store, told the BusinessLine that, the app development has become a profitable endeavor at present.

The Application market has grown so potentially in India that the foreign developers who made it big in the global level like the Evernote and OutFit7 has shown interest in the Indian market. Narry Singh, executive Chairman of the Outfit7 said that, as India has turned out to be a big market for the apps, his company has plans to bring in the localized apps that suits the users in this country according to their interest.
