Airwatch to Double its Manpower In India
Bangalore: AirWatch, a provider of mobile application and content management is planning to widen its presence in India. The company will double its manpower in India to 150 in the next one year from the present 75.
The company’s Bangalore center will be expanded in line with the expansion of resources. It will also be adding a marketing and sales team in India apart from increasing its headcount in Asia Pacific to 250 from 100. Besides Indian mobile market, China, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand and Japan are its key markets in the Asia Pacific region.
The company is currently working with Vodafone India. As part of its global alliance, Vodafone UK has added Vodafone Secure Device Manager for enterprises to its growing portfolio of security solutions. This software is designed to allow businesses to connect mobile devices, such as smartphones and tablets, to their corporate networks securely.
Its solution provides a full set of mobile security, MDM, MAM and MCM features, including the most accessible, easy-to-use web- and mobile-based management console; a Secure Content Locker; a Secure Email Gateway; an App Catalog.
Recently, the company entered into an association with Entrust, a provider of identity-based security solutions to develop an innovative solution for securing large enterprise networks. This collaboration will help in advancing access for Entrust PKI, Managed Service and IdentityGuard users who can then use AirWatch's Software as a Service (SaaS), appliance-based or on-premise solutions.
Last year, the company launched HTML5-based MDM platform, providing its management console users with a more powerful, faster and efficient end-user experience.
