Mobile Apps are one of the fastest growing market. Gartner expects the app revenues to reach 58 Billion by 2014. Apart from these apps there are various tools which allow building mobile apps with alternate technologies and dont require you to learn Objective-C or Java. Some of the more popular ones are:

Phonegap

This allows you to convert a HTML website to native app. It essentially puts a website inside a webkit shell. To get the app to look native you need to write CSS to get a near-native look and feel.

Appcelerator Titanium

It allows you to interact with the native UI via a JS bridge. The apps built with Titanium look native.

Corona

Corona is a game engine which allows you to script your game via a lua binding. This may be easier to work with for Flash game developers than Objective-C
